In memory of Jack King, a close friend of his is working to create a memorial downtown-- to remind current and future generations of Jack's beloved spirit. 

Congratulations to Everybody's Favorite Twins, Cherry and Sherry Wilmore, who were recently awarded the NAACP Youth Juneteenth Trailblazer Award for creating Louisiana's first and only Twin Festival. 

The 9th Annual Drug Free Calendar Contest, which is sponsored by the Prevention Partnership and funded by South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority, encourages local students to create a piece of artwork centered around the importance of living a drug-free life.
