It’s back, beb! The date for Houma’s 2nd annual Weenie Spaghetti Festival has officially been announced.

First held this past January, the Weenie Spaghetti Festival drew a crowd of over 3,000 food lovers, with guests hailing from across Louisiana and out of state. 41 teams cooked a minimum of 5 gallons of the beloved dish, serving a whopping 8,000 bowls of weenie spaghetti to attendees before 1:00 PM.

“Everyone from south Louisiana knows what weenie spaghetti is,” said Daniel Babin with Luminate Houma, in a 2023 interview. “We are so excited to see people come out and enjoy a meal that they know is for them. There are so many festivals in the area with great dishes, but anyone who grew up here knows that you won’t find weenie spaghetti anywhere else.”

Last year’s festival also included a Chili Cook Off, and Weenie Spaghetti Cook Off, and a Bloody Mary Contest, live music from the Cajun Music Preservation Society and Nonc Nu & Da Wild Matous, and a kids crafting corner courtesy of the Bayou Regional Arts Foundation.

Following the success of 2024’s inaugural festival, it was recently announced that the 2nd Annual Weenie Spaghetti Festival will take place on January 11, 2025 in downtown Houma. Applications for vendors will open within the coming weeks.

This year’s Weenie Spaghetti Festival is expected to be bigger and better than ever, and you won’t want to miss it! Stay tuned for details as they become available via their Facebook page.
