As the region’s leader in providing high quality, compassionate cancer care, Thibodaux Regional is also committed to helping increase awareness, provide education and screenings and raise funds in the fight against cancer.

 

Cancer affects the lives of so many and there is no place like home when a person—and their family members—are coping with cancer. Statistics indicate that Louisiana has one of the highest incidence and mortality rates in the United States.

 

The second annual Thibodaux Regional Cancer Institute Festival of Hope being held on April 22 and April 27, 2024, and will include a golf tournament, a 5K Run/Walk, and a musical concert with proceeds benefiting cancer patients. There will also be tennis, beach volleyball, and pickleball competitions.


 

  • Golf Tournament – Monday, April 22, 2024 at 8:00 AM at Ellendale Country Club, Houma, featuring Special Guest Mike Detillier
  • 5k, Festival, and other Competitions – Saturday, April 27, 2024. Come out to run, walk, and rally for cancer patients. Sign up today at Thibodaux.com/festival-of-hope.

 

In addition to the Run and Concert on April 27, 2024, the Festival will feature Food Vendors, Carnival Games with Prizes, Sports Tournaments, Face Painting, and Bounce Houses. The Petting Zoo will be open from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM only.

 

Gate opens at 9:00 AM. Music by The Groove at 10:00 AM; Kenedi and Soul Survivors at 1:00 PM; Cancer Survivor Tribute prior to The Lena Prima Band at 3:00 PM. Be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket.

 

Each event is designed to offer hope and inspiration as well as honor cancer survivors and their families.


 

Festival entry is $10 for adults 18+, $5 for kids 7 – 17, and no charge for children under 6.
