Enhancement of Ten NRDA-Funded Artificial Reef Sites Located Across the State of Louisiana Complete

It’s time to celebrate living in the bayou because Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou Tourism recently announced that Thibodaux has received two big honors!
Thibodaux may be a small town, but in early November, USA Today 10Best announced that Thibodaux offers the number two ranked Best Small Town Food Scene in the nation! Louisiana’s Cajun Tourism acknowledges it’s partially due to the flourishing Cajun Bayou Food Trail.
The contest was a Reader’s Choice Award which allowed website readers, which averages about five million readers per month, to vote for their favorite nominees in each category. The votes were tallied after four weeks of voting and the results are in: Thibodaux officially has an amazing food scene! Being from the area, we already knew that, but not millions around the country will know it too, and hopefully, they will travel to experience the rich culture! “We couldn’t have done it without everyone who voted for Thibodaux and, more importantly, all the chefs and restaurants that contribute to our unique food culture here in Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou,” read a statement from Louisiana’s Cajun Bayou Tourism.
Not only did Thibodaux earn the number two ranking, but two weeks later, Thibodaux has been named one of the Coolest Small Towns of 2022 by Budget Travel which is a national website for leisure travelers. This year, Budget Travel wanted to focus on small towns that usually fly under the radar that have “a strong and thriving community.” The press release read that they chose Thibodaux for its rich Cajun culture, charming downtown, and ties to history, focusing on both the E.D. White Historic Site, and the Wetlands Acadian Cultural Center.
