Lafourche Education Foundation announces recipients of New Teacher Grants, supporting educators across Lafourche Parish

On November 4, 2024, at approximately 9:20 AM, officers responded to a shooting in the 700 block of Grand Caillou Rd. Upon arrival, officers encountered male subject with a gunshot wound to his forearm.
Officers promptly rendered aid, successfully stopping the bleeding. The Houma Fire Department and an AASI arrived on the scene and transported the victim to the local Hospital.
The victim reported that the shooting occurred near a local business on Prospect Blvd/Grand Caillou Rd and provided suspect information. The suspect, identified as Migeal Landry (B/M,17YRS), was located and arrested. Landry has been charged with two counts of attempted second-degree murder and armed robbery.
