Algeron “AL” Brown, 24, a native and resident of Bayou Blue, La., drowned at 3 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007.
Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church. A service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the church. Burial will be in Cresent Farm Cemetery.
He is survived by his companion, VaShondra Muse; his parents, JoAnn P. Brown, Dana Brown, and Oliver Maize; his son, Jaylon Brown; his brothers, Jasmine Hawkins and Conan Brown; his sisters, Jada Smith and Jessica Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Royal Brown Sr.; Clarence Poindexer Sr. and Louise Poindexter Johnson.
He was a member of Greater St. Matthews Baptist Church.
He enjoyed football and track and was employed by Caro’s.
Community Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
