Cleveland Verdin, 52, a native of Houma, La., and a resident of Bayou Dularge, La., died Friday, May 23, at 8:30 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Valerie Liner Verdin; son, Terrill and wife Monica Verdin; daughters, Tericka and fiancé Arvin Paul and Tenicka and husband Samuel Dobson; brothers, John, Lawrence, Howard and Wesley Verdin; sisters, Lea Verdin, Lona Verdin and husband Phillip, Josephine Scott and husband Horace, Mona Liner and husband Michael, Louise Lacobon, Lillian Verret, Melvina Lodrigue, Eva Cotten and Larina Ponino; and grandchildren, Mia Verdin, Tyler and Allie Clophus, and Alyssa, Bryce and Jasmin Dobson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Evans Joseph and Marie Leah Billiot Verdin; brothers, John E., Evans Jr., Pierre and Paul A. Verdin; and sisters, Ella M. Verdin and Florence Trosclair.
Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, May 26, and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday, May 27, at Falgout Funeral Home’s chapel with the funeral to follow. He will be buried at Garden of Memories Cemetery in Gray, La.
