June 15, 2011Gilbert J. Schoenberger, 82, a native of Kansas City, Kan., and a resident of Larose, La., died at 4:32 p.m. Saturday, June 11, 2011.
Mr. Schoenberger was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elia Schoenberger; son, David Schoenberger; step-son, Berthman (Jean) Baudoin; daughter, Sandy Evans; step-daughter, Roberta (Tom) Larousse; brothers, Victor, Richard and Vincent Schoenberger and Ronnie Lang; sister, Irene York; eight grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ottilia Schoenberger; son, Kenneth Schoenberger; and 17 brothers and sisters.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Thursday, June 16 at Falgout Funeral Home in Galliano, La., with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church. Burial will be at the church cemetery. (Falgout)
