Joshua Paul “Josh” LeBlanc, 17, a native and resident of Larose, La., died Thursday, May 29.
He is survived by his parents, Ginger LeBlanc and Alan Matherne; sisters, Janae’ Matherne and Jani Matherne; his grandmothers, Wilmer “MawMaw” Curole LeBlanc, Janel “Granny” Seager; aunts, Jill L. Hebert and Robin L. Williams; uncles, Carroll Hebert and Chetly Williams; his great aunt and uncle, Dickie Curole and Wille Curole Quinlan; and his cousins, Shaun Melancon, Angelle L. Matherne, Faith Angelle Matherne and Cody Williams.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Roland Anthony LeBlanc and Wilber “Poppie” Seager; his great-grandparents, Albert and Elda Curole and Florestine and Ben LeBlanc; uncle, Greg LeBlanc; and cousin, Chelsey Williams.
He worked for Bayou Supply and B&E Seafood. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his family. He was a parishioner of Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church.
Visitation will be 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, June 1, at Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off, La., and 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. Monday, June 2, at Our Lady of the Rosary Catholic Church in Larose with mass to follow. He will be buried at the church cemetery.
Samart-Mothe Funeral Home in Cut Off is in charge of the arrangements.
