Thibodaux’s Lady Tigers hungry for district title

Maggie Usea Cortez, 84, a native of Kraemer, La., and a resident of Thibodaux, La., died Saturday, February 2, 2008.
She is survived by her son, Alvin Cortez; daughters, Gertrude C. Cavalier, Arlene C. Granier and Debra C. Morvant; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Cortez; her parents, Froizin and Ella Boudreaux Usea; son, Brianel Cortez; and grandchild, Cherise Cortez.
Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 07, 2008, at Thibodaux Funeral Home with mass to follow. She will be buried in St. Joseph Cemetery.
Thibodaux Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
