Mary Mumphrey Sykes, 51, a native of Baton Rouge, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Tuesday, January 6.
She is survived by her husband, Billy Sykes of Gray; her father, Jack Mumphrey of Baton Rouge; one son, Matthew Sykes of Gray; two daughters, Audrey Griffin and husband Marcus of Houma, La., and Emily Sykes of Houma; three sisters, Jackie Masterman, Jane Brown and Nancy Ducote, all of Prairieville, La.; four brothers, Gerard Mumphrey, Mark Mumphrey and Patrick Mumphrey of Baton Rouge and Paul Mumphrey of Prairieville; and two grandchildren, Kallie Moore and Leilani Griffin.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lillian Am’edee Mumphrey.
She was a nursing assistant for Terrebonne General Medical Center.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, January 9, at Chauvin Funeral Home with Liturgy of the Word to follow.
Chauvin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
