McKinley Jones III, 59, a native of Terrebonne Parish, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Wednesday, October 22.
He is survived by two sons, McKinley Jones IV and McKenzie Jones of Houma; five brothers, Eddie Jackson, Melvin Jones, Micheal Jones, Timerthy Jones and Billy Jones; four sisters, Ceciel Jones, Joyce Matthews, Loretta Jones Hampton and Maude Helen Diggs; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Nixon Jones; his parents, McKinley Jones Jr. and Queenester Jones; two brothers, Earl James Jones and Lorenzo Jones; and his grandparents, Mack Jones and Ceciel Jones.
He was a commercial fisherman and a boat captain. He was Baptist.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 29, at Community Funeral Home with the funeral service to follow. He will be buried at Emanuel Baptist Church Cemetery.
