Rita Pierce LaGrange, 83, a native of Cut Off, La., former resident of Arabie, La. and current resident of Metairie, La. died Tuesday, December 25, 2007, at 12:16 a.m.
She is survived by her daughter, Gail Rylee and her husband Chuck; two sisters, Audrey Cheramie and Sidonia Ferdinandensen; two grandchildren, Jill Hogaboone and her husband MacKenzie and Keri Dewhirst and her husband Joseph; and three great-grandchildren, Kacie and Rilee Hogaboone and Luke Dewhirst.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest LaGrange; her parents, Ernest and Bertha Mathern Pierce; one daughter, Carolyn Tidd; one brother, Horace Pierce; and one sister, Gladys Mayet.
Visitation is Friday, December 28, 2007, from 9:30 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., with the funeral to follow at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Larose, La. She will be buried in the church cemetery.
Falgout Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
