February 17, 2016Thaddeus Joseph Champagne, 88, a native of New Orleans, LA and resident of Houma, LA died at 7:05 a.m. on Monday, February 8, 2016.
Mr. Champagne was a member/parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church. He was a founding member of the E.A.A. in Houma, LA., and a Veteran of the United States Navy and served during World War II.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Theriot Champagne; son Christopher J. Champagne; step-sons Steven Marcel (Madlyn), David Marcel (Melinda), Rick Marcel (Michele); daughters Nancy Trahan (Tommy), Peggy Aucoin (Tony); stepdaughters, Cathy Marcel Jarveaux, Debra Marcel Champagne (Joey), Amy Marcel St. Martin; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren
The family would like to thank Hospice of South Louisiana, his caregiver Jill Usie and aid Joella, Dr. Jules Dupont, and the staff at Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center and Fr. Joey Pilola of Maria Immacolata for all their love and care during our family’s time of need.
