October 13, 2011Warren “Bud” Lewis Gaiennie, 82, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, October 10, 2011.
Mr. Gaiennie was a devoted family man and was viewed a as father by many. His devotion and love for his wife Peggy was legendary and it was her hand that he held at the last. He was a military veteran and patriot and a man of deep faith and moral conviction. He was a parishioner of Annunziata Catholic Church.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Peggy Gaiennie; children, Warren Jr. (Cathy), Patricia, Denise (Vance), Diane (Robert) and Charles III (Anne); sister, Marilyn (Joseph) Garon; 12 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Sr. and Emma Gaiennie; son, William; siblings, Charles Jr. and Yvonne Gaiennie, Audrey Bitterman, Dorothy Simon and Marjorie Hebert; and grandson, Armand Frickey.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, Oct. 14, at Annunziata Catholic Church with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be at Magnolia Cemetery. (Chauvin)
