May 18, 2023John Dennis Williams, born December 14, 1953, passed away peacefully on May 11, 2023 and received by our Heavenly Father and reunited with his parents and brother while in the arms of his loving wife Dana “Donna”. John was a native and resident of Houma. LA.
Family and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service and Celebration of John’s life on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at St. Matthews Church in Houma, LA from 9:30am until 11:30am. Liturgy will be celebrated by Fr. Jim Morison at 11:30am in honor of John.
John proudly served his country in the United States Army.
John enjoyed traveling the world and visited with many locations including Hana Hawaii, Hong Kong, Santa Barbara, California and Salt Lake City, Utah. His passion for fishing is what lead him back to his roots, in his Faith and back to Louisiana and family. John was a firearms enthusiasts and made many friends across the United States and abroad.
John is survived by his loving family; his wife of twenty-nine years, Dana “Donna” Belanger Williams; his brother, David M. Williams; sister, Madelyn J. Williams and her children, Stephen Hunter Landgrave (Kandace) and their children, Jake, Lauren, and Ali; nephews, Ross Landgrave; niece, Andrea Henry Bergeron (Cory) and their children, Brady, Hebert, Olivia Hebert, Evan, Michael and Alexandra Bergeron; niece Rachel Belanger; nephew, Zachary Belanger (Micheala) and their daughter, Ella Mae Belanger;
John is preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph M. Williams and Maxine Funderburk Williams; brother, Clark T. Williams; maternal grandparents, M. L. Funderburk and Juanita Wallis Funderburk; paternal grandparents, John D. Williams Sr. and Madeline Boudreaux Williams.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Andrea Bergeron and Jerome Dupont whom walked with John in his final journeys. Dana and family would not have made this journey alone without their comfort. The family would like to give a warm “thank you” for all who kept John and family in their prayers.
