Kimple John Verret, 65, a native and resident of Houma, passed away on Monday, December 11, 2023.
A memorial service will be announced at a later time.
He is survived by his daughters, Jesikah Verret, Miranda Everett, and Kimberly Weaver (Neil); grandchildren, Marley and Journey Verret, Madison Everett, James-Neil Weaver, Jr., and Sawyer Weaver; sisters, Eleanor “Ella” Lovell and Maida Hermann; nieces and nephew, Shannon Moseley (Jeff), Sian Guidry (Donald), William Bowman (Riana); and godmother, Ediana Verret. He is also survived by his canine companion, Buster.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Julius Verret, Jr. and Rita Mae Francis Verret; and siblings, Julius Verret III, Rene Verret, and Dawn Ann Verret.
Kimple will forever be remembered as a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend, but the title he most cherished was being called “Paw-Paw”. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, fishing, eating, and telling stories and cracking jokes. Kimple will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
The family would like to thank Kimple’s friends and caregivers, Donnie and Julie, as well as everyone for their prayers and well wishes during this time.
In lieu of flowers, blood donations can be made at Terrebonne General and Ochsner’s New Orleans in Kimple’s name and memory.
