Lloyd Joseph Hebert, Sr., age 92, passed away Thursday March 24, 2022. He was a native of Houma and longtime resident of both Houma and Moss Bluff.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the visitation at Chauvin Funeral Home Wednesday March 30, 2022 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will continue at Chauvin Funeral Home Thursday March 31, 2022 from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 12:00 PM with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Lloyd is survived by his children, Aileen Rhodes and husband Jimmy, Cheryl Pitre and husband Dana, daughter in law, Gay Hebert, Nanette Brunet and husband Barry, Eric Hebert and wife Sharel, Danny Hebert and wife Lucie; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Michael Hebert and wife Linda, Andrew Hebert and wife Carolyn; sister, Ophelia Moore.
Lloyd is preceded in death by his wife of 73 years, Gloria Rodrigue Hebert; son, Lloyd Hebert, Jr.; parents, Andrew Joseph Hebert and Clevia Pellegrin Hebert; brother, Cleveland Hebert; sister, Mary Ann Champagne.
Lloyd was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was strong in his faith serving as a Eucharistic Minister, and past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council 3622. Lloyd enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening and spending time visiting with his family and friends. He was the proud owner of Lloyd’s Oyster House and Lloyd’s Cajun Kitchen.
