The Thibodaux Regional Swim Team recently delivered an incredible performance at the LSU Age Group and Senior USA State Championships, securing a new Senior State Record and 11 individual Age Group State titles.

“I’m just happy for me and my seniors, our team, our program and our city,” Vandebilt coach Jerwaski Coleman said. “I’ve got to give God all the praise. Without Him, none of this is possible. He really pushed us throughout the year. It has been a long time coming. It feels rewarding to be so patient and having so much faith in God.” 

The award-winning E.D. White Winterguard Team is continuing to add hardware to their trophy case, securing yet another first-place win at the WGI Gulfport Color Guard Regional Competition this past weekend. 

Several Terrebonne-Lafourche Parish student athletes brought home the top prizes at the recent LHSAA Indoor Track and Field State Championships this past weekend. 

“Definitely a heartbreaking loss,” H.L. Bourgeois head coach Dillon Anderson said. “We won the first two quarters but came up short in the third and lost the fourth by one.”

The ‘beautiful game’ is filled with highs and lows, much like life itself. It was no different in a second-round playoff matchup between perhaps two of the most heated rivals in Louisiana high school athletics.

The E.D. White Winterguard Team recently took home first place at their Open Classic in Biloxi this weekend, debuting their 2025 set entitled "Let Them Eat Cake." 

The Cardinals will take on rival Vandebilit at home in the second round of the Div. III LHSAA Boy’s Soccer playoff tournament early next week.

Now in its eighth year, this prestigious event will honor six local athletes and coaches for their exceptional contributions to sports in the Bayou Region.

Last weekend marked a historic moment for local athletics, as 22 teams came to compete in Terrebonne Parish's first-ever high school wrestling tournament. 

The team’s impressive record of accomplishments in 2024 has brought pride to the region and beyond!

This week, Vandebilt Catholic High School senior Sydney Becker signed a letter of intent to continue her soccer career at Nicholls State University beginning in Fall of 2025.

“They deserve this moment, the scoreboard says we lost, however I think we won a lot this year. We won a lot off the field as teammates, as coaches and the scoreboard doesn’t say that, we're going home with a runner up trophy but I can’t say enough about our kids and how hard they compete,” said E.D. White Head Coach Kyle Lasseigne.
