April 3, 2013The NOLA Motorsports Park in Avondale is gaining a reputation for events like motorcycle races and automobile extravaganzas. But a major part of operations is its cutting-edge involvement with Kart racing.
The sport is gaining popularity in the US and has a growing following in Louisiana.
The good news, according to park officials, is that anybody with $20 or less – depending on the day and time – can experience the thrill of guiding one of the metal-tube-framed karts on their state-of-the-art track. There are even karts and events available for kids.
Karting is a motorsport seen as a stepping-stone to bigger race and motor involvement, according to its fans.
The park offers daily rentals and rental leagues to race series for those that own a racing kart or purchase one from their in-house kart shop.
