Donna Francis Gafford, a native of Saulk Centre, Minn., and resident of Houma, La., died Monday, June 16, 2014.
Mrs. Gafford graduated from New Iberia Senior High School in 1951. She loved her family, friends, neighbors and church family. She was an avid Facebooker and loved receiving e-mails from her cousins. She enjoyed vacations – among her favorites were the annual trips to Pigeon Forge in the Smokey Mountains, N.D. family reunions and her husband’s school reunion trips to Piedmont, Kan. She was a member of First United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Lyster Gafford; children, Jack (Robin) Gafford, Janis (Tommy) Treuting and Julie (Joe) Maureaux; sister, Carol (Aden) Keeter; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Nelson and Arvilla Francis; sister, Elaine Kessler; and brother, Duane Francis.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2. (Chauvin)
