It’s hideous. The people who are hired to protect us and keep us safe are sacred. It’s an awful tragedy anytime that they’re harmed in duty.

I think it shows how little respect people have today – for anything. The badge used to speak without words. Now, there’s just no respect.

It shows that cowards in our country are no longer faceless. I think we see so much more hatred now because of social media, and it makes people have a violent demeanor.

I think that’s the worst crime that anyone could ever commit. It’s a shame that we’ve gotten to this point.

The values of family are gone today, so people just don’t learn how to act or behave anymore like they used to. It’s sad, but that’s where we are.
