June 3, 2022Root 2 Rise Yoga Studio will host a Self Care Massage Class on Saturday, June 11, from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. The one hour class is open to those experiencing soreness associated with physical or mental stress, and will provide tips on how to safely and effectively massage your body. The course will be led by Christine Bordelon, an Orthopedic Massage Specialist with 20 years of experience in the industry. Bordelon will guide participants through the pain cycle and the sympathetic neurological effects of your muscles to fight, flight, or freeze reactions.
This workshop is one in the string of events Root 2 Rise will host in June, in an effort to spread awareness on the importance of practicing mindfulness and the effects it can have on your mental and physical health. Guests are encouraged to wear comfortable clothing and bring a yoga mat or blanket. Tickets to the event are $35 and can be purchased here.
