Gerald Long

Gerald D. Long, 87, a native of Pittsburgh, Penn., and longtime resident of Thibodaux, La., died on Friday, April 29, 2016.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 9, from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m., at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Thibodaux. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30 a.m. at the church followed by burial in St. Joseph Cemetery

Mr. Long is a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, a veteran of World War II, and a retired school principal.

He is survived by his son, James Long; daughters, Linda Knabb, Alice Levron and Ellen Matherne; sister, Lela Wesche; and five grandchildren.(Landry’s)
