David Brown

David Brown, 79, a native of Terrebonne Parish and a resident of Houma, La, died at 8:03 a.m. on Sept. 24, 2015. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. followed by a “Celebration of Life” program at 7 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2, at New St. Matthews Baptist Church in Houma. Visitation will resume on Saturday, Oct. 3, at 9 a.m. until funeral time at 11 a.m. Burial will take place at Crescent Farm Cemetery.

Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Margaret Johnson Brown; sons, Andrew Matthews and Byron Jermaine Brown Sr.; daughters, Joan Marie Staidum, Jean Marie Brown and Deirdre (Troy) James; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; and brother, Willie (Ann) Brown.
