Houma museum takes flight with new display
April 22, 2010Hilda Cenac Bergeron, 91, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Houma, La., died Tuesday, April 13, 2010.
Mrs. Bergeron was a member of First United Methodist Church for more than 50 years and a member of the United Methodist Women. She was the youth choir mom for many years, a member of the American Legion Auxiliary and a long time member of AARP. Mrs. Bergeron was a retired Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and worked for many years at Ellender Hospital and for Dr. Roy St. Martin, both of Houma.
She is survived by her daughter, Marlene (Dr. Kenneth) Klaus; son, Eulen “E.J.” (Beryl) Bergeron Jr.; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; four step-grandchildren; five step-great-grandchildren; and one sister, Beulah Zeringue.
In lieu of flowers, donations to First United Methodist Church are preferred.
Mrs. Bergeron is buried in Terrebonne Memorial Park.
