Althea Roesch Pellegrin, 93 , passed away Friday, June 8, 2018. She was a native of New Orleans LA and a resident of Houma. LA

Althea is survived by her sons, Dudley F. Pellegrin Jr. and wife Diette and David Pellegrin and wife Belinda; daughters, Pamela LaCasse and husband Albert, and Christine Board and husband Bobby; grandchildren, Lauren Adams, Al LaCasse, Erika Perry, Bobby Goetz, Jennifer Baur, Ashlee Templet, Stacey Pellegrin, Emily Bourg, David Pellegrin, Kristen Pellegrin, Nicole Pellegrin; and twenty great-grandchildren..

Althea was born on September 3, 1924 to her parents, Christian and Magdalene Roesch. She attended Wright High School and graduated in 1941. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education from S.L.I.; now University of Louisiana Lafayette. She taught Physical Education in Terrebonne Parish at Terrebonne High School, Houma Jr. High School, and H. L. Bourgeois High, where she also was the school’s tennis coach. Althea was known as Little Ms. Pellegrin to most of her students.

Althea was a member of Catholic Daughters of America, Friends of the Library, Terrebonne Retired Teachers, Kappa Kappa Iota Sorority, and the Red Jackets.

During her free time, she loved to do needlework and sew especially for her grandkids. She was also an accomplished dancer and stayed involved in dance all of her life. Althea often attended sporting and dance events that her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids participated in with great enjoyment.
