Second Harvest Food Bank, a New Orleans-based charitable organization that also supports Terrebonne and Lafourche Parishes, as announced a large donation from a global superstar.

During her visit to New Orleans from October 25-27, 2024 to perform her world-famous Eras Tour, Taylor Swift quietly donated the equivalent of 75,000 meals to Second Harvest Food Bank.

“When kindness meets action, magic happens,” reads a statement from Second Harvest Food Bank. “Today, we’re thrilled to share that Taylor Swift has helped fuel our mission to end hunger with a donation that means 75,000 meals for South Louisiana families in need. This kind of generosity reminds us that making a difference is possible, together, with people who truly care.”

Second Harvest Food Bank leads the fight against hunger in South Louisiana by providing food access, advocacy, education, and disaster response. Second Harvest provides food and support to 700+ community partners and programs across 23 parishes, with staff and volunteers who distribute the equivalent of more than 32 million meals to 210,000+ people a year.
