Local nonprofit announces event to raise funds for Special Needs Shine Bright Scholarship Program

The Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government has announced that two self-serve sandbag locations are now open in preparation for Tropical Storm Rafael.
Residents must bring their own shovels to each sandbag location. The self-serve sandbag locations can be found below:
- Fireman’s Skate Park – 161 Library Drive. Located in the parking lot between the skate park and Main Branch Library.
- Adult Softball Complex – 9544 East Main Street. Located in the parking lot in front of the softball fields.
