January 29, 2014Nolton “Noot” Oncale, 87, a native of Choupic, La., and resident of Choctaw, La., died Sunday, Jan. 26, 2014.
Mr. Oncale was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was a retired electrician for McDermott and after retirement enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a 3rd degree member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1114 and World War II veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Shirley Oncale; son, Jeffery (Tina) Oncale; brother, Russell Oncale; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Blanche Oncale; sister, Daisy Duroche; and brothers, Hubert and Herman Oncale.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to funeral time, Thursday, Jan. 30, at Thibodaux Funeral Chapel. Military Services will be at 12:30 p.m. with religious services to follow. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. (Thibodaux)
