Augustin Joseph Dupre, 85, a native of Pointe-aux-Chenes, La., and a resident of Gray, La., died Tuesday, Sept. 15, at 3:40 a.m.
He is survived by his wife, Rose Chauvin Dupre; four sons, Tommy Dupre and wife Linda, Ricky Dupre and wife Cindy, Mike Dupre and wife Beckie, and Wil Dupre and wife Tamara; three daughters, Sheryl Soudelier and husband Russell, Evelina Fanguy and husband Kenneth, and Susan Triche and husband Kenneth; 27 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Felecian J. and Leotine LeBouef Dupre; three brothers, Nicolas, Sidney and Magnus Dupre; and seven sisters, Edna Dupre, Eula Hebert, Josephine Foret, Lucille Pellegrin, Gladys Lapeyrouse, Clothilde Dupre and Wilma Marcel.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 17, at Christian Assembly in Schriever, La. A military service will be at 11:30 a.m. with a religious service to follow. Burial will be at Grace Christian Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Samart Funeral Home in Houma, La., is in charge of the arrangements.
