Superintendents name challenges for new school year

Beatrice Francis, 94, a resident of Berwick, La., died Monday, Aug. 1, 2011.
Mrs. Francis retired after working for over 20 years at the Berwick Elementary School as a cook. She loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a parishioner of St. Stephens Catholic Church in Berwick.
She is survived by her son, Wayne (Ellen) Francis; daughter, Nettie (Elton) Landry; six grandchildren; sister, Bonnie (Walter) Agnelly; 17 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Agnes Nini; husband, Percy Francis; sister, Una Russo; and brothers, Wilbert and Aubrey Nini.
Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2 at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Berwick with Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Interment will be at Berwick Mausoleum. (Twin City)
