October 11, 2016-1: South Lafourche limited Morgan City’s offense to -1 yard of total offense in Friday’s game, routinely pushing back the Tigers and setting up long yardage situations. The Tarpons got their second win of the season in the ballgame.
371: Central Lafourche had no answer for Thibodaux’s rushing offense on Friday night. The Tigers gained 371 yards on the ground, gutting the Trojans defense to the tune of a 56-7 victory. The Tigers are now 5-1 on the season after an opening-night loss.
18: Ellender was down 44-22 on Friday night in the fourth quarter. But instead of folding, the Patriots battled back, scoring 18-straight points down the stretch to make the game close. The Patriots didn’t win, but they showed tons of guts to play the full, 48-minute game.
2: After losing four-straight games to start the season, E.D. White is now in the winner’s circle again. The Cardinals have won two-straight games, including a blowout of Thomas Jefferson on Friday, which saw the Cardinals score 39points in the third quarter. E.D. White will lock horns with Patterson on Friday night.
