The Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce, teamed with the Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government and Leadership Terrebonne, are unveiling Terrebonne’s Young Achievers awards.

Designed to recognize young “movers and shakers” in the community under the age of 40, the award will recognize their outstanding career achievements, community service impact and their vision of what Terrebonne Parish can be.

“There are many remarkable young people in Terrebonne Parish who are making significant contributions that are impacting our community,” said Don Hingle, chamber board chairman. “Our young people are our future and we thought this award would be one way we could highlight and show appreciation for their efforts.”

A panel of judges will evaluate and score each nomination on information provided in the following categories: reason for nomination, professional career achievements, community involvement and vision and future aspirations for Terrebonne Parish.

Anyone can submit a nomination. Nomination/application forms may be obtained by emailing info@houmachamber.com or by calling the Houma-Terrebonne Chamber of Commerce at 985-876-5600.

The deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, Nov. 7.
