Louisiana Shrimp & Petroleum Festival
Dating back to 1936, the Shrimp and Petroleum Festival in Morgan City is steeped in tradition. The once honored “Most Unusual Festival Name” celebration has become a Labor Day weekend mainstay, and festival goers can expect more of the same great music, food and festivities from this year’s iteration. The festival’s most traditional day is Sunday, which features Mass in Lawrence Park, the Blessing of the Fleet and water parade, and fireworks synchronized to music.

Louisiana Gumbo Festival of Chackbay
This festival features the best in Cajun food, music and dancing, carnival midway rides, firemen’s parade and live auction.

Voice of the Wetlands Festival
This year marks the 15th Annual Voice of the Wetlands Festival. Festival goers can expect great music and cuisine throughout the weekend on the Ponderosa. After the main stage closes, the ultimate jam session kicks off at the Wetlands Ramble that run late through the night into the morning it is perfect for the campers. Bring the kids to the small animal zoo and kids area, and fall in love with the Wetlands.

Acadia Music Fest
Acadia Music Fest returns for a third year with an all-star music lineup. A variety of delicious food and art vendors and a Kid’s Korner round out the festival’s offerings. Proceeds to benefit the Ben Meyer Foundation.

Rougarou Fest
The Rougarou Fest is a family-friendly festival that celebrates the rich culture of Cajun folklore that exists along the bayous. Live music, food, children’s activities and more make the festival an entertaining experience, but the real fun comes in the parade (featuring Rougarou witches, zombies and giant puppets) and the costume contest.

Bayou Beer Fest
Enjoy the area’s premier beer festival as hundreds of great craft beers will be available to sample. Bayou Beer Fest showcases two ounce samplings of craft beers from around the world combined with great food, and stellar musical entertainment, all while raising funds for the brave men and women of our Armed Forces.

Thibodeauxville Fall Festival
Thibodeauxville originated in 1992 in an effort to reacquaint the community the Thibodaux’s beautiful historic downtown area. Since its inception, Thibodeauxville has grown to 180 vendors and 15,000 visitors. In addition to the original arts and crafts and delicious Cajun food, Thibodeauxville now features several stages of continuous live musical entertainment. Guests will also enjoy the famous Thibodeauxville Duck Race in Bayou Lafourche and a car show.

Downtown Houma Christmas Festival and Parade
Head downtown for Houma’s newest tradition in Christmas celebrations. The festival features Santa’s workshop, arts and crafts vendors, games, a live nativity, and holiday music. The Winter Wonderland Snow Fall will occur every hour, on the hour, along the walkways. At dusk, the annual Christmas parade rolls through the streets spreading holiday cheer. The Tree Lighting, along with a Meet and Greet with Santa and Mrs. Claus, will take place following the parade.
