Joseph “Joe” Pitre Sr., 90, a native and resident of Galliano, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2019.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Jane Pitre; sons, Joseph Pitre Jr. (companion, Kathy), Jesse Pitre (Gwen), and Lee Pitre; daughters, Christine LeBouef (Will), and Paulette Cox (Richard); sister, Nevette Doucet; 12 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
