George Karl

George “Red” Henry Karl Jr., 81, a native of New Orleans, La., and resident of Houma, La., died on Sunday, August 6, 2017.

Mr. Karl served in the United States Army. He worked for Sears and retired after 35 years. He loved to barbecue for his friends and spend time with grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Elsie Constance Karl; son, Dennis (Nancy) Karl; daughter, Suzanne (Joseph) Gelpi; siblings, Robert, John and Raymond Karl and Barbara Olsen; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
