Advocate leads area panel for disabled
May 2, 2011Ben “B.M.” Rogers, 88, a native of Hattiesburg, Miss., resident of Thibodaux, La., and a former resident of Buras, La., and Magee, Miss., died at 8:10 a.m. Friday, April 22, 2011.
He is survived by his wife, Gloria Turlich Rogers; sons, David (Angie) Rogers and Leslie McClain; daughter, Jennifer (Pat) Cheramie; brother, Linsey Rogers; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Rebecca Wise Rogers; stepmother, Annie Laura; one daughter, Rebecca Ann McClain; four brothers, Ralph, Leroy, Maybrey and R.B. Rogers; three sisters, Iona Dean, Mercedes Praytor and Nettie Mae Ellzey; and one grandson, Aaron Cheramie.
