Joseph N. Gros Jr., 72, a native and resident of Vacherie, La., died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010.
Mr. Gros was retired from Avondale Shipyards and National Boilermakers.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn Gros; son, Collin (Monique) Gros; daughter, Laural (Michael) Howard; brother, Raymond (Imelda) Gros Jr.; sisters, Gladys Narisse, Regina and Alice Steib, Daisy (Ridgley) Mitchell and Rose (Teddy) Boudoin; and three grandchildren;
Visitation will be 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, Sept. 27 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Vacherie with mass to follow. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
