Vet’s work ethic, community spirit will be missed

Donald Joseph Portier, 61, a native of Chauvin, La., and resident of Bourg, La., died on Thursday, April 7, 2016.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m. tomorrow, Thursday, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Chauvin. Funeral services will begin at 11 a.m. at the church.

Mr. Portier is survived by his wife, Monica F. Neil Portier; daughter, Jenna Portier; and sisters, Marlene (Ernie) Pinell and Geraldine (Larry) LeBoeuf.
