HPD reaches out to area’s needy with food boxes
December 2, 2010Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government employees doubled the amount of food donations collected over last year’s total with 60 boxes of food containing 2,337 items secured for needy area families this holiday season.
The Pollution Control Department topped the list of most items collected with 502 food items.
“I am extremely proud of the employees of Terrebonne Parish Government for their generosity during the holiday season,” said Parish President Michel Claudet. “The amount of food donated from our departments is a true testament to the pride and caring that TPCG employees have for our community.”
Items collected by parish employees will be distributed through Good Samaritan Food Bank.
