Marie Eva Pichauffe Dugas, 97, a native and resident of Houma, La., died at 7:05 a.m. on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.
Mrs. Dugas was a great cook and known for her chicken filet gumbo. She never met a stray animal or a stranger.
She is survived by her son, Larry (Cynthia) Dugas; daughters, Theresa (Milford) Scott, Mary Price and Gloria (Eugene) Bonvillain; 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Francis de Sales Cemetery No. 2 in Houma.
