October 23, 2006Larose man convicted on drug charges
November 1, 2006Authorities are looking for a suspect who beat a man with a baseball bat early Monday morning in Houma.
Officers of the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a call around 1:10 a.m. An employee from the Holiday Motel reported that a 27-year-old Hispanic male was bleeding and running through the parking lot of the Holiday Motel on La. 182, according to TPSO spokesman Det. Malcolm Wolfe.
Authorities were led to believe that the victim was beaten with a baseball bat in one of the hotel rooms by Brandon Folse, 19, 609 Market St., Raceland, according to Wolfe. Folse fled from the scene and is now wanted by the sheriff’s office for attempted second-degree murder.
Although Folse fled, an arrest was made at the scene, the spokesman said. Nicole Billiot of Houma was apprehended on alleged prostitution charges. She was with the victim when Folse allegedly attacked him, Wolfe said.
Billiot reportedly gave police inaccurate information, including her exact address, the detective said. The connection between Folse, Billiot and the victim is unknown, he noted.
Wolfe reported that the victim is in stable-but-serious condition with some bodily injuries and severe head trauma. Acadian Ambulance transported him to Terrebonne General Hospital and later transferred to Jefferson Parish Hospital for further treatment.
Anyone with information on Folse’s whereabouts should contact the TPSO detective bureau at (985) 876-2550.
