Parish E-File eases sales tax payment process

The state Department of Revenue has launched a Web site designed to help businesses file and pay Louisiana sales taxes.

There are no fees associated with the use of Parish E-File – www.parishe-file.com.

From the site, multiple parishes are able to simultaneously file and remit sales and use taxes. In addition, business owners and tax practitioners can access sales and use tax returns online for all 64 state parishes.

According to LDR spokesman Byron Henderson, the site provides easy, secure registration. To register, an e-mail address, banking account and routing number as well as sales tax account numbers for all returns are required.
