Ada Mae Peltier Guidry, 85, a native of Chackbay, La., and a resident of Houma, La., died Friday, February 27, at 9:50 a.m.
She is survived by her sons, Larry A. Guidry Jr. and wife Janet of Ambridge, Pa., and Bruce E. Guidry M.D. and wife Pam of Houma; daughter, Cheryl G. Cunningham and husband Eric of Houma; brother, Val Amato and wife Betty of Lutcher, La.; sister, Mrs. Emile “Rosalie” Heltz of Lutcher; grandchildren, Tina Leavitt, Michael Guidry, Scott Guidry, Nancy Claire Bernard, J.W. “John” Bordelon, Christine Bordelon and Ian Bordelon; great-grandchildren, Justin Leavitt, Caroline Bernard, James Guidry, Sarah Catherine Bernard, Colleen Guidry and Austin Bordelon; and sister-in-law, Carol Amato of Lutcher.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry August Guidry Sr.; parents, Louis Peltier and Elizabeth Rodrigue Peltier Amato; brothers, P.J. Amato and Edward Peltier; sisters, Julia Peltier and Mildred Peltier; stepfather, Joseph Amato; and grandchild, Amanda Guidry.
She was a parishioner of Maria Immacolata Catholic Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to The Louis Infant Center, 3513 Bayou Black Drive, Houma, La., 70360.
Visitation will be 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. Monday, March 2, at Maria Immacolata Catholic Church with mass to follow. Burial will be at Terrebonne Memorial Park.
