Joseph B. Blanchard III, 70, a native of Houma and resident of Vacherie, passed away on April 11, 2018.
.He is survived by his wife, Debbie Bruce Blanchard; daughter, Linda Wible Blanchard (Tim); sons, Joseph Blanchard IV (Alyzabeth), William Blanchard, Clay Usea (Tracy), Pierre Dufrene (Nicole), Jean-Paul Dufrene (Johnna), Rene Dufrene (Brandy), and Andre Dufrene (Melizza); and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Blanchard II and Maude Schmell Blanchard; sisters, Katherine, Kathleen, and Patricia; and baby sister. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, spending time outside, playing chess, and cruises. He was a U.S. Army Veteran during the Vietnam Era.
