Murphy “Pawpee” Joseph Marie, 84, a native and resident of Chauvin, La., died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015.
Mr. Marie was a member of the U.S. Army and longtime fisherman and net maker.
Mr. Marie is survived by his wife of 55 years, Elaine Marie; daughters, Becky (Joey) Vining, Melissa (Craig) Theriot and Tiffany Marie; son, Marty (Shoney) Marie; sisters, Virginia Champagne, Diane Champagne and Lita (Allen) Benoit; brothers, Perry, Michael, Charles and Mack Marie; 11 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
Burial is at St. Joseph Cemetery in Chauvin, La.
