Vida Galliano

Vida Vega Galliano, 87, a native and resident of Cut Off, La., died at 9:35 p.m. Friday, April 10, 2015 from Alzheimer’s.

Mrs. Galliano graduated from Cut Off in May 1946 and, after her boys were in elementary school, attended Nicholls State University, earning a degree in education. She taught third grade at Galliano Elementary for 30 years. She loved dancing, visiting with friends, cooking and canning and tending to her yard and garden.

She is survived by her sons, Gary (Kaffie) Galliano and Terry (Madline) Galliano, five grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and eight step-great-grandchildren.

Burial is at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Mausoleum.
