With nine branches spread cut across the parish, there is always a library near-by. The library system not only offers amazing programs for children, but outstanding adult programs as well. Great Terrebonne Read
Celebrate books all month long with The Great Terrebonne Read, a community-focused reading initiative inspired by the upcoming PBS special “The Great American Read” The finale will reveal the results for America’s favorite book. Each Terrebonne Parish library branch will have a ballot box for patrons to cast a vote for their favorite bocks, Readers can cast a ballot for each book they check-out. Ballots should consist of fiction books only. Voting for The Great Terrebonne Read will last from May 7 until May 21, the day before the launch of the PBS special The Top 10 Terrebonne Reads will be announced in the June newsletter. A trivia challenge will also be hosted in June with questions based on the winning booklist
Siring RELIC Series
RELIC: Readings in Literature and Culture is back at the Main library. The discussion series began on April 30 and will last until June 11. RELIC is a bi-annual adult history and literature course The theme for this season’s RELIC will be “200 Years of New Orleans Literature,” based on the collection of the name by Nancy Dixon. Literary works from writers who were from New Orleans, lived in New Orleans, or were influenced in some way by the South will be featured. Readings will be available for pick up at the front desk of the Main Library. RELIC is sponsored by the Friends of the Terrebonne Public library and is free and open to the public Dates include May 7, 14, and 21.
Library Rock Star Summer Reading Program
The Terrebonne Parish Library System will focus this year on developing strong reading habits a across all ages. Children, teens and adults can earn fabulous that include coupons, certificates and our 2018 “Library Rock Star” yard sign amply try reading for a minimum of twenty minutes each day. The program runs from May 29-July 28.

Library Camp Oat
Celebrate the first day of summer with a special camp out at the Main Branch on June 21. There will be a camp fire story time and songs, crafts, and snacks for happy campers of all ages to enjoy.
Terrebonne Games Expo
Join the Main Branch for their annual Terrebonne Games Expo on June 31. There will be board games, card games, computer games, card games, computer games, or try your hand at one of our life-size games. Compete in tournaments or demo something new in the vendor hall Cosplay is welcome and encouraged.
