St. Bernadette 7th graders earn Duke recognition

Myra Claire Berthiame and Remy Fontenot, seventh graders at St. Bernadette Catholic School in Houma, are among the most academically talented students in the U.S., according to Duke University. The two achieved exceptional scores on the SAT college entrance exam, earning recognition from Duke’s Talent Identification Program (Duke TIP) seventh-grade talent search. Myra and Remy scored in the top 5th percentile of the 55,000 students in their grade level. The pair were presented with a medal at a ceremony May 2 at Northwestern University at Natchitoches, La.
